However, this site was created to bring attention to another promising Science career, also known as Biotechnology. This website is a resource to educate kids about Biotech, to help you decide if Biotech is a subject you want to professionalize in, and to also empower young girls to pursue careers in STEM.
THE IMPORTANCE OF BIOTECH
Biotechnology impacts our lives all of the time, it is how we exist. Biotech has provided our world with so many useful products and as a result, improved our way of life. Through Biotechnology, we are discovering new health treatments and medicines to help people live longer and healthier lives. What do you believe would happen if Biotech never existed? Girls wouldn't be able to wear makeup and without washing detergent, everyone's clothes would smell pretty bad, right? Even some of your favorite foods such as yogurt, cereal, and bread were created with the assistance of Biotech. It would take longer to produce those foods without Biotech and they probably wouldn't taste as good. Thus, Biotech is such an important part of society and it is important that our younger generations be introduced to it.
